Souvenir Postcards | The Essential - Birmingham, AL
The Essential is a beloved staple in downtown Birmingham on Morris Avenue. They serve up fresh pasta, imaginative desserts, towering burgers, and the best brunch in town. After seeing my lost and found series with cabinet cards we came to the agreement this would be the best method for this project. They wanted four traditional postcards to serve with the guest check at the end of the meal as a fun and colorful surprise. Sorting through over 100 cabinet cards, I found the perfect vessels and then set to work on sketches in Procreate. We decided against an original strawberry tart design to sub with a petite macaron and a leggy boudoir for the pasta one.
